I hesitate to write a review for Stella's because everyone else will discover this hidden gem! I believe it is a family run business, since I always see the same gentleman there overseeing the bakery. You can see that every pastry and cake is made with absolute pride. I love the little tarts and apple strudel - all so tasty. The cakes are so delicious too, but the ones with whipped cream could use just a tad more whipped cream! (Coming from someone with a fat tooth! Lol) ope you all enjoy this bakery as much as I do! I can't seem to stop coming here!
03/2019: Just got a birthday cake for my mom. She turned 90 today! The dark and white chocolate mousse cake is to die for!! So soft and moist!!
09/2019: I ordered a dessert platter and cookie platter for a party I was attending. They were a hit! Everyone especially loved the little desserts and the amaretto cookies!
10/2019: I came by to pick up a cake for a 60th birthday party and wanted to try something different, so I got the Grand Marniér cake. It was FABULOUS! and my very selective son loved it too. I highly recommend it! -

Traditional Bakery Near white Flint Metro!
I've in the past. This is my first formal review.
For visit (8/17/19).
The bakery is located just off Rockville Pike on the Nicholson Ln side of the shopping mall.
Stella's offers a large selection of butter cookies.
I purchased " Hamantaschen" (Jewish Butter Cookie Apricot & Poppyseed) & "Three Eyed Cookies" (Raspberry Jam filling). $16 per pound.
Delicious cookies. A little treat.
A variety of freshly baked cakes, pastries, fruit tarts are on display In the display cases.
Custom orders are available.
Excellent customer service. Cookies are carefully
Packaged in little white boxes w/gold Stella Bakery Stickers. Worth another visit. -

We've visited Stella's a few times now (on the recommendation of our contractor, while going to next door Porcelanosa) and it is a solid bakery. It goes without saying but the later in the day you come, the greater risk you run of certain items being sold out.
Service is very nice - the first time we came there was quite a line and a woman behind the counter handed my girls each a small cookie while we waited (that made them instant fans). There are one or two small tables inside, but most people seem to grab and go or just come in to pick up big cake orders.
We tried a variety of cookies and sweets (their baklava is delightful, chocolate croissants a little lackluster) but their savory pies are actually my favorite. The cheese pie is just delicious - reminds me of a Turkish sigara boregi but much bigger. Of course it's fried and flaky so one is probably all anyone needs, but I could have eaten several more in one sitting because they are just so yummy.
If we are ever in the area again we would definitely stop by Stella's! -

Stella's has got it going on. If you're reading this review wondering if you should stop in- you should. You don't need to read anymore of the review! However; if you're still reading I'll tell you why we are in love with Stella's.
We stopped in on a Saturday around 11am and the place had been open for a couple hours already. Everything was in stock and there were A LOT of choices. It should be noted there are four food cases but after you're done looking you should go to the register to the left when you walk in. Here you'll place your order for all things pastries. We ordered 2 regular croissants, a chocolate croissant, mini leak and potato pie, mini cheese pie, and a slice of the dark chocolate white chocolate mousse cake. The grand total? $9! That was an insane dream because all of the local shops are selling croissants for $3.50 each.
The croissants were large and in charge. Super flakey and buttery as always. The chocolate croissant is always a great way to start the day. The mini pies were awesome, if I had to pick one I would get the potato leak one again.... but at less than $1 you might as well try them all. The chocolate(s) mousse cake tasted on point. The white chocolate was more intense than the dark chocolate and I didn't mind it at all.
Long story short we are huge fans of Stella's and can't wait to return. I do wish the prices were displayed but since everything is so cheap I didn't mind not knowing until the end. I'm looking forward to returning and trying everything else. Bonus: They can write on Cakes on the spot as well so if you're ever in a bind stop in and grab one. -
